BEDCO, Beb el-Dahab Construction, is a social enterprise dedicated to transforming the lives of marginalised youth in Tripoli. Our journey began in 2016 with MARCH, a visionary organization committed to rebuilding communities affected by sectarian conflict.
Our team consists of trained local youth from Jabal Mohsen & Beb el Tebbeneh, proficient in construction work and dedicated to creating positive change in their communities. By engaging in construction, graphic design, marketing, and other vocational training, they gain valuable skills and promote personal growth and reconciliation.
Our mission is to create a more peaceful, inclusive, and equal Lebanon. We aim to provide these youths with a second chance at a better life, fostering independence and responsible citizenship. Through BEDCO, they work on rebuilding areas, fostering a sense of community and self-reliance.
BEDCO is the embodiment of collective success. These rehabilitated youth now have the opportunity to take on leadership roles, driving both their personal development and the economic growth of their communities. At BEDCO, we don’t just build structures; we build futures and stronger communities.
Director of MARCH
Initiated by MARCH in 2016, our work began with the transformative Beb el-Dahab initiative, which has since united and upskilled over 300 young men and women from divided communities within Tripoli. These individuals have been immersed in professional training in key construction disciplines, including plastering, painting, electrical, and metalwork, complemented by personal development programs that instill excellence and promote reconciliation. At the core, BEDCO is about more than construction; it’s about crafting durable, peaceful communities through the powerful synergy of skilled workmanship and united purpose.
